This longtime tradition established by students in the late 1980s is open to children and families from the local community. Co sponsored by residents of the Lawn and Range communities\, the resident s and members of student organizations will be stationed in each of the 54 Lawn rooms as well as the Range to give out treats. All candy is dona ted and distributed by approximately 70 student groups and other organiz ations. Free parking for families attending the event will be available at the John Paul Jones Arena garage\, JPJ South Lot\, JPJ West Lot\, and Culbreth Garage. Paid hourly parking may also be available in the Centr al Grounds Parking Garage . Residents look forward to hundreds of childr en and families participating in the festivities and encourage Universit y students to attend\, too! Sign-Ups for UVA CIOs All UVA-affiliated org anizations and departments are invited to sign up on a first-come\, firs t-serve basis to table on the South Lawn and pass out candy using the fo rm below\, beginning on Wednesday\, October 7 at 9 a.m. In the form\, or ganizations may also opt in to be considered to table from a Lawn or Ran ge room\, if a room becomes available to host following residents' prior ity sign-up. Please note that spaces are limited. Any organization that signs up after spots are filled will be placed onto a waitlist. Particip ating organizations are responsible for bringing their own table\, candy \, and decorations. The Sign-Up Form will be open from Wednesday\, Octob er 7 at 9 a.m. through Monday\, October 12 at 11:59 p.m. Organizations m ust fill out the Trick-or-Treat on the Lawn CIO signup form during the o pen time slot to be considered for a table on the South Lawn.
